Our client is a leading all-purpose logistics provider using cutting edge technology providing integrated services to a wide supply chain of customers across New Zealand and Australia. Its aim is to simplify end to end services for those customers moving goods from production through to distribution. 

To do this they need a strong and effective communicator to manage the day to day operations of the service desk and provide support when dealing with internal/external technical enquiries and incidents that are raised for a suite of applications by the company. These include but are not limited to the warehousing, transport and finance related applications. To manage and be actively involved in the ticket systems and resolution by acquiring accurate detailed technical knowledge of the company’s systems and applying that knowledge to issues in a timely manner. 


Key Experience and Knowledge:

  • A proven track record as a Service Desk Analyst/Support Analyst for a minimum of two years
  • Knowledge of NZ Transport or Shipping Industries
  • Experience using Opsi Transport Management. (TMS), specifically the Ignition and Dovetail applications
  • Knowledge of EDI Cargowise Warehouse (WMS) or similar systems
  • Bespoke applications in particular for NET applications with customers, suppliers and internal interface. 
    Generating KPI, decision support and other reports using MS Power BI toolset. 
  • Sound working knowledge of MS SQL language and tools
  • Understanding of EDI methods and middleware systems including Sandfields Crossfire;

Located in the heart of South Auckland, our client is a rapidly growing 4th party logistics provider looking for 2 Leading Hands for shifts between 8-10 hours each (40-50 hours per week).  

The 2 shifts we are looking to fill are the day shift - 4am to 2pm or the night shift – 2pm to 12pm, reporting to the Warehousing and Cross Dock Manager.

Requirements:

  • Leading, managing and being part of a team doing day to day warehousing, cross docking operations, customer service and ensuring service level agreements are adhered to.  
  • You will be proactive in health and safety compliance and will use your personal judgement and highly developed analytical skills to deliver high quality outputs and decisions through the cross docking facility.
  • Ensure safe and compliant execution of container, import, export container, cross docking customer order requirements
  • You will be able to build strong internal and external working relationships and will have outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Our clients ideal candidate will have excellent self-management skills, ability to work without supervision and excel  in managing fluctuating workloads in potentially stressful situations.
  • A current Forklift licence is a must along with freight handling and cross docking experience as well as sound analytical skills.

Transport Operations 

Our client is a rapidly growing 4PL operating across Australia, due to that growth is seeking someone to proactively manage day to day customer service queries and resolve issues in a timely manner through effective and efficient coordination across operations and finance teams. 

You will manage the day to day transport service demands of the customer sites from general enquiries to execution and receipt of PoD, from carriers via electronic or other means per standard operating procedure, use of systems and business processes including timely and accurate acknowledgement of the request/query and response until resolution.


This Includes:

  • Managing customer product damage and loss claims request per the companies process from receipt of claim to resolution in liaison with operations. This requires a strong, confident and mature communicator dealing with a diverse range of people and levels of business.
  • Manage the customer returns requests per company process from receipt of the request to delivery in liaison with the Operations Team
  • Manage the Australian Companies pallet returns process
  • Manage exceptions, demand & capacity peaks, throughs and risks outside the pre-defined standard operating procedures to ensure customer service demand is met at the right cost.
  • Actively pursue information from the company’s operations, accounts and management teams to provide timely information and service to the customer and ensure excellence in the company’s customer service provision.
  • Provide support and back up for the business development initiative including seamless integration of new customer business across the company’s operations, and other business functions.
  • Provide high quality service to customers that exceeds the service promise.
  • Use excellent judgement and highly developed analytical skills to delivery high quality decisions; and
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customer operational staff, carriers and internal staff.

  • You Will Have:
  • Knowledge of Australian and Road Transport Industry, Carriers and Customers
  • Experience in CS functions in an operational environment
  • Knowledge and or experience in using transport order management, allocation and execution business systems
  • Exercising sound judgement to make consistent and other robust decisions with regards to operations and customer services
  • Demonstrated customer service focus, including the ability to adapt service level and style to meet the differing needs of customers.
  • Experience in working with multi-faceted customer and supplier environment to carry out day to day responsibilities.
  • Experience in key account management support and new customer service integration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of road transport service delivery through use of optimisation and workflow systems and use of capacity available from carriers.

This can be a busy demanding role desireable of some-one resilient to the daily pressures of a fast-moving operation, but who enjoys the challenges associated with problem solving and working with a dedicated team of like-minded operators. Your ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines is essential to the success of this role and its service to customers. 

A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience working in a role that developed knowledge of transport, logistics and warehousing safety and compliance management procedures and practice may be of advantage.
